The word theatre means a "place for seeing" and our Santos Cage Theatre Dolls take you into that unique theatrical vision. The cage body was traditionally used to display photographs and flowers to represent celebrations. For our dolls we use many hand-made one of a kind items, vintage materials and unique accessories to create the ‘theatre’ beneath their skirts representing a variety of seasons and moments. The dolls hand carved and hand painted distressed patina adds charm to the antique style of this vintage santos replica cage doll. Articulated arms and hands encourage posing. All pockets and some of the clothing feature an Angela Cartwright image.

A twisted wreath of berries with a red cardinal sitting on a branch sits atop Brigitta's head. She wears an antique lace top adorned with a spectacular silver band of vintage ribbon. Her skirt is a flourish of white habotai silk, revealing a snow scene complete with a battery lit holiday tree. The battery box is hidden beneath the moss covered stand and is quite easy to turn on and off.
A glitter enhanced candle is held by this wonderful Theatre Doll to herald in the New Year. Her pocket features a winter inspired image and holds tiny wrapped presents and candy canes.

Mairaude is dressed for abundant seasonal changes. She is crowned with a spray of lovely golden leaves and tulle. Vintage lace peeks from beneath a marigold colored linen wrap with a pocket filled with wheat (signifying fertility) and adorned with a nest image (the symbol of new beginnings). In her hand she holds a hand embroidered sign with the word GATHER.
Her heavy tapestry skirt is lined in one of Angela's signature images. Beneath the skirt is a silver vase filled with florals of the season and corn representing abundance. A small turkey awaits his fate. A bustle in the back completes the look.
